Ismail Arjunaidy, a filmmaker soon will be prospectively graduate from Multimedia University Nusajaya.
There's student graduate every semester, each of everyone did their Final Year Project
represent as their masterpiece that took us 3-years of studies.
The film is like a mirror of the Director's Heart, to express and to present the feeling to the Society and the World.
This time, he decides to explore the idea of a High Technological advancement with an Extreme Social Disorder which takes him to come out this, the "2119: OUTLAWS".
2119: OUTLAWS
I have always wanted to make an Action sci-fi film, ever since I knew about making videos. Cyberpunk genre has been one of my interest since Bladerunner 2049 came out. It explores a various social problem that we faced even now in the present. This film will tackle a few of those problems in an entertaining and non-preachy way.
The core idea of the story is inspired by my friend’s teenage story. In his teen years, he has always been “controlled” by his family, mostly his brothers. That has led him to do rebellious and thoughtless actions. By implementing the cyberpunk genre to my story, I could also voice out my concern toward our present social issues such as social class gap, Millennial, and feminism. Personally, after what I have seen of what happened to my friend, I would like to show that even in a bad or gritty life there is always a good side of it.

Logline:
Set in the year 2119, the world has been plunged into a cyberpunk era. Born into poverty, a Dauntless Twin decides to change their life by stealing from Notorious Criminal Mastermind.
Synopsis:
2119: Outlaws is a science fiction action drama film, set in a future-dystopian cyberpunk Malaysia in the year 2119. The story follows a pair of dauntless twins trapped in the slums of poverty. Amelia and Aiden will fight in order to survive and get out of the ruthless and cold-blooded slum.

Due to the rental of the locations and the use of the films equipment with lighting up a whole street and the art dressing, costume, extras hired with a large budget, for an Independent student film without any capital intervention, it's very struggling for us.

Looks & Feel - Slum Market
Slum, the abandoned edges of the city, crime, theft, bad things happens over here every minute.
This is where our characters being adopted, growth and makes what they are.
Therefore, we'll try to intertwine with the feel of familiar and unfamiliar as the character are finding their way to run out from the zone where they live before.
Looks & Feel - Apartment
As where the character steals & collect their daily necessities from others or garbage bin, the twins orphan have used to live without their parents. The Brother (Aiden) will bear into a more caring, mature characteristic as the Sister (Amelia) stick with her own way, careless and doesn't care about the others but only Aiden.

Ryan is a highly creative individual with the ability to innovate visuals captured through the lenses of camera. He has proven his ability to create strong, impactful visuals. He will be editing 2119 with his distinctive, precise cuts.
Lijie Chua
Cinematographer
Born and raised in Malaysia, Lijie Chua is an up-and-coming cinematographer and filmmaker from Multimedia University Nusajaya who loves the process on visualize storytelling through blocking and underlying emotions of the characters to the camera movement. Followed by a discussion with different Directors on cameras and cinematography basics, Chua always like to take them through the blocking stage with reference lighting to achieve a consistency looks with director.
Siew Keat
Production Designer
Keat is an imaginative filmmaker who has helped in set designing for the most part of his career. Having created close to 12 sets throughout his years in film school he has a strong grasp in the Basics of Mise en scene and filmmaking.
